Allama Iqbal Open University is considered a large-scale educational university in Pakistan, through this university you can complete your education from matriculation to PhD sitting at home, the most special thing about this university is that overseas Pakistanis can also take admission in it and complete their education from abroad, if you want to take admission in any course in AIOU, then here are the complete details.

1. Program and Eligibility Criteria

Programs Offered AIOU 

Matriculation and Intermediate: Programs like Matriculation (General/Science), FA, ICom, and F.Sc, are included.

Bachelor (BS/BA) includes 4-year BS (IT, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics), BBA, and B.Ed, besides, you can check more program details by visiting the IOU portal.

Associate Degree

Associate Degrees include 2-year degrees in Arts, Commerce, Business Administration, and Education

Postgraduate, MBA (1.5 and 2 years), MPhil, MS, and PhD programs are included, visit the portal for more program information

2. Online Admission Procedure

 AIOU has shifted 90% of admissions online.  No need for paper forms.

  Go to Allama Iqbal Open University official portal.

STEP 1: Open the online admission portal

Click on the 'Apply Online' button.  The admissions link is on during the admission point, admission area.

STEP 3: Select your program

Matric, FA, BA, B.Ed, BS, MA etc., select the program you want to take admission in, the fee and duration are mentioned in the details of each program.

STEP 4: Fill the form

Enter your CNIC/B-Form number, name, father's name, address, and education details.  Use a valid email and mobile number as AIOU sends all updates via SMS.

STEP 5: Upload required documents

While uploading clear scanned copies or images of documents,

i) CNIC/B- Form from both sides

ii) Recent passport size photograph

iii) last degree result card/certificate

iv) experience certificate if applying for professional programs

STEP 6: Generate Fee Challan

After sending the admission form, the system will generate the selected program application fees challan, Print it and pay at any Habib bank, Allied Bank, MCB, UBL branch or through Easypaisa/JazzCash app.

STEP 7 Fee Verification

Note: that the challan will not be downloaded immediately. Log in to the portal again within 24 hours of paying the fee and then the challan will appear. Your fee status will change to “Paid”.  Now your admission is confirmed.

Please note that fees vary depending on the program.

Example:

Matric: ~PKR 4,000 to 5,000

FA: ~PKR 5,000 to 6,000

BA: ~PKR 55,000 to 70,00

B.Ed: ~PKR 25,000 to 30,000

Note: 

New students mind it, the fee we have quoted are gases, and the correct fees will be printed on your selected program Admission challan farm.

Important points to remember

1: Pay the fee before the deadline.  Otherwise, your admission will be cancelled, which may lead to difficulties, so to avoid any hassle in admission, all students should pay the fee on time.

2 Details of books

It will be delivered to your address through TCS after 1-2 months of admission, most of the times the books do not reach you, in that case you do not have to wait for the books, you have to download the books of your respective codes from the internet and start writing your assignment.

3. Tutor and assignment information, Tutor and assignment details will be sent to you through SMS in the student ID, after which the student will be able to see the assignment and tutor information by logging in to his ID.

4. Do not use agents, now you can send your application to any program from your mobile at home, Applying online is completely free, there is no additional charge of any kind  No charges.
